After this class\, students will know the difference between appraisals and com parative market analyses\, as well as important vocabulary used in apprais als and CMAs so that they can interpret a property appraisal and identify the factors used to create it. They will learn to distinguish the differen ces in land descriptions and how they are determined and be able to explai n to someone how subdivisions are recorded. Instructors will show how to a pply the historical background information about the general land office t o their practice. Also covered are negotiations\, including identifying an d applying the styles and principles of negotiation\, conducting effective negotiations\, managing multiparty negotiations\, and identifying cultura l influences on negotiations.
