This course focuses specifically on the skills and expertise needed to be a successful Buyer’s Agent. Major aspects of buyer representation will be covered including prospecting, identifying properties, showing strategies, making offers, handling inspections and repairs, and successfully closing. This class provides the tools necessary to build a successful business focused on helping buyers navigate the real estate process.

Course Description:
This class provides an overview of housing finance benefits available to Texas Veterans. With an emphasis on housing assistance and land purchase financing, as these are the benefits most real estate agents will be working with when assisting a veteran. Housing, Land and home improvement processes are described in the course. Also covers marketing techniques for connecting with veterans. Course will provide real estate professionals the tools they need to understand mortgage options for serving the Texas Veteran looking to buy a home or purchase land. The course is designed for those without a financial background in the "nuts & bolts" of VA and other financing programs for veterans in order to effectively communicate with veteran buyers and sellers.

The Texas Real Estate Commission has determined that additional and continuing education regarding the promulgated forms and documents is required and advisable for the Real Estate Community. This course is intended to provide participants with an in-depth review, by paragraph, of the One to Four Family Contract (RESALE). Participants will come away with a better understanding of this contract, not just what goes in the blanks, but also a better understanding of the meaning and impact of the various provisions.

They will learn to distinguish the differences in land descriptions and how they are determined and be able to explain to someone how subdivisions are recorded. Instructors will show how to apply the historical background information about the general land office to their practice. Also covered are negotiations, including identifying and applying the styles and principles of negotiation, conducting effective negotiations, managing multiparty negotiations, and identifying cultural influences on negotiations.
